The father of a 1 year old white male noticed a piece of red plastic in the child's mouth and tried to fish it out with his fingers but it disappeared. The child developed inspiratory stridor, wheezing, gagging, emesis and bleeding. He was taken to the Emergency Room where he was noted to have inspiratory and expiratory stridor, drooling, noisy nasal breathing and blood tinged oral secretions.
