History & Physical
An 8 year old black girl with no significant past medical history was admitted to another hospital with a history of coughing for 2 weeks. She worsened over the next two days and was intubated for 2 days. RSV cultures were positive. She received cefuroxime and erythromycin. She was then home for 2 weeks, receiving Augmentin. She began to get occasional fevers and occasional emesis and was treated with loracarbef and penicillin. She was admitted to the hospital with a temperature of 39.5C and initially treated for pneumonia. Her previous radiographs were compared with current ones and endoscopy was requested. |
