Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis, Indiana

The Indiana Clinic is seeking fellowship-trained Pediatric Otolaryngologists to help service Riley Hospital for Children located in Indianapolis, Indiana.

 

The position is academic, affiliated with the Indiana University School of Medicine. An interest in research is desired, but not necessary.

 

Riley Hospital for Children serves as the only comprehensive specialty referral center for infants, children and adolescents in the state of Indiana. It is a 379- bed pediatric subspecialty referral institution with a $457-million addition under construction. Riley is home to one of the nation’s largest pediatric residency programs and the only training site in Indiana for pediatric specialists.

Riley is ranked among the nations top children’s hospitals by Child magazine and US News & World Report.  Today, Riley is the 6th largest children’s hospital in the country and is staffed by Indiana University School of Medicine physicians. IUSM is the second largest medical school in the country.

Indianapolis, the 13th largest city in the U.S., offers a wide range of lifestyle environments. The lively downtown features a variety of cultural and sporting institutions, such as the Indianapolis Pacers and Colts, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, shopping, and Indiana Repertory Theater. Indianapolis is also home to world-class museums, like The Children's Museum, Eiteljorg and the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

Indianapolis housing is the most affordable among large cities in the US and offers a choice of urban living with condominiums and town homes as well as a wide array of family-friendly suburbs. Nationally recognized primary and secondary schools are available, both public and private, offering outstanding educational options for those with children.

Due to tort reform, the physicians in Indiana enjoy low malpractice rates, making Indiana one of the top five physician friendly states in which to practice medicine.
