Pediatric Otolaryngology – Knoxville, Tennessee
Position:
Position:
Two experienced pediatric otolaryngologists, fellowship-trained at Johns Hopkins and the University of Pittsburgh, seek an associate to join their thriving private practice in Knoxville, Tennessee.  We provide all facets of pediatric otolaryngologic care to children in our referral area.  We enjoy strong relationships with our area pediatricians, family practitioners, and pediatric subspecialty colleagues.

The associate would be provided with a competitive salary guarantee and an opportunity for future partnership.  Investment opportunity in a pediatric-only surgery center, a joint venture between East Tennessee Children’s Hospital and a group of pediatric surgical specialists, is available.  Call is 100% pediatric at one hospital.

Our practice is based at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, a 152 bed free-standing children’s hospital with entirely private rooms, newly renovated state-of-the-art operating rooms, a 46-bed NICU, a 13-bed PICU, along with a new Emergency Department.  Children's is certified by the state of Tennessee as the only Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center in East Tennessee.  This year children will make more than 141,000 visits to Children's Hospital.  For further information about ETCH, visit their website at www.etch.com.  We also provide care at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and have clinical appointments in the Department of Surgery.

Knoxville is in the increasingly popular mid-south, enjoying all four seasons but relatively few seasonal extremes.  In addition to the great weather, golf, watersports on multiple lakes, and the Great Smoky Mountains make it an attractive place for outdoor enthusiasts.   Knoxville is ranked 1st  for Best Places for Relocating Families, 1st for Best Places for  Recent College Graduates, and 5th for Best Places for Businesses and Careers (Forbes 2006).  The greater Knoxville area has a population of approximately 800,000, with 500,000 being less than 45 years.  Both public and private schools are available and both have strong environments for academic growth.  The University of Tennessee is located in Knoxville and provides for a rich cultural and academic environment in addition to SEC sporting events.

The practice is a rapidly expanding, tertiary care practice and is fully equipped with pediatric audiology services and endoscopy.  Our practice is active in the AAO-HNS and ASPO.
